Engel Fridge Repair

Hi Guys

So I have picked up a 60L Engel Fridge, model: MRFT-560D-G4. I'm not 100% sure how old but I think less than 6 years. It seems to have a dead compressor, I am going to get Dad to recheck all the electrics but if those are not at fault what is the best way to get it fixed?

If anyone knows how I can get and replace the compressor myself and have it re-gassed or if there is a cheap Engel repairer in brissy?

I'm not sure about where you can get Engels fixed but it might be worth to ring the waceo head office at varsity lakes ( near burleigh heads) they might have an idea of someone in the south east..
I could be completely wrong but aren't engel and waeco compressor's the same..

I will ask darren when he gets home as I cant remember their name but there is a place around acherfield I think that fixed ours.

Waeco has a danfos compressor Engel has a sawafuji swing motor - two very different beasts.

Try Olbis @ Rocklea. They repair engels

I don't take to much notice on what fridge runs what compressor..

Hope it is just electrical issues. I would say a new compressor wouldnt be cheap on a engel.

Hi my dad had a similar problem with his engel and even a fridge guy said it was stuffed but turned out to be a dry soldered joint to the power

One of the blokes I work with just had a compressor replaced. It was over $400 just for the parts
