Attendees: Aussie Sekarf Team Grandpa & Meeks Slider Gilly Gang Paddy75 D-Max Puddle Jumper Chuckanoo Photo Gallery Link We all met up at the planned BP at Northlakes, Aussie running late as usual, had a bit of a chat and ran through what was planned for the day. Due to Youngs Crossing Road still being closed, we had to detour around through Petrie and Lawnton to Warner, our first detour for the day. The drive past Lake Samsonvale was quite pleasent with a couple of good scenic lookouts along Winn Rd. We then turned a shark right onto Mt Samson Rd on the plan to take a short cut through the bush to Mount Glorious, there was a couple of good water crossings along Dales rd, but we came to a bit of a halt when dales rd happened to have a closed gate stating the it was private property and there were really big dogs so don't enter, so we turned around and headed the long way to Mt Glorious. 2nd Detour. By the time we all made it to the road that goes up to Mt. Glorious, everyone had pretty much fallen to sleep along the highway till Sekarf spotted a road called "Goat Track" which is a short but very steep dirt track up to Mt Glorious. 3rd detour. We decided to wake everyone up, we would take this route instead, so everyone prepared themselves by locking in their hubs if needed. Slider was unsure whether is Patrol was gonna make it, so he decided to put his recovery hitch on while dropping his towbar on his ankle. Not sure what he was complaining about, no one else felt it. So after about 10 mins of chatting and 5 mins of Slider hopping around on one foot, we headed to the bottom of the hill .... road closed ... detour cancelled... so we turned around and went up the bitumen. More to come soon ...

Neil and Slider ( meeks ) decided to go play in the glasshouse mountain for a bit on the way home, they did a few tracks (very wet),they were ready to leave to come home they were asked to go help do a recovery on a landcruiser ute that was stuck on a pipe all that he had was broken snatch strap he had 2 young kids, no water or food for them ! he had been bogged since about 1pm and it was after dark when we go to him about 6pm by the time we lifted and stacked rocks ( lucky slider had an exhaust jack ) and with my winch experience with the help of meeks and sliders girls carrying rocks to stack it was a true team effort he had have someone else try to recover him and that is how snatch got broken but they just left him and kids there it took about 2 hr to do the the recovery and slider and i made 20 bucks each for our trouble on a side note that is the last time i send neil out with a 26 y/o young lady (Meeks ) she didn't get him home till ten at night lol
